GCW Kitchen & Bath Inc.
"In the month of September 2004 we purchased a Thermwood CabinetShop 40 CNC Router. We purchased it through CNC Automation out of St. Zotique, Quebec. Since initially firing up the machine in the early days of that September there has been no looking back for GCW Kitchen and Bath Inc. With the help of the very qualified programming staff at CNC Automation we were soon up and running. It took a couple of weeks to work out the bugs, but the support from both CNC Automation and Thermwood has been outstanding. The ease of communicating with both companies, their expertise, and promptness in sending out needed parts to get us up and running again quickly are what we feel sets them apart. We have heard horror stories from our colleagues that other CNC companies simply deliver the CNC machine without providing any support whatsoever. Not so with CNC Automation and Thermwood. We are very pleased with our affiliation to both of these companies and look forward to growing together with them for years to come."

In 2003, I found myself on the horns of a dilemma.
I had a point to point router but did not have the operating software necessary to design
cabinets and nest these at the machine. One well known design software representative was
prepared to sell me $15,000 worth of software to solve my problems. They neglected to tell me
that their software would cost me at least $20,000 more to integrate it to a machine with an
obsolete controller. The purchase and integration of this software would have set me back
anywhere from $30,000 to $40,000, and it would have been useless!
Luckily, I found out about Thermwoods eCabinets. I could not believe that this software was
FREE. Once I understood how eCabinets works and then how Thermwood and CNC Automation
(their Canadian distributor) operate, I decided to register for their eCabinets software and
eventually purchased a Thermwood router.
The decision to purchase a new router was very difficult, I already had a "point to point" machine
with a machine operator to program and run it. A new machine would cost me a lot of money and
my existing machine was more or less worthless since the controller was obsolete. However,
after being treated honestly by the folks at CNC Automation I made the decision to go with a new
Thermwood.
After having my new router for about six months I came up against a work slowdown. My gut
reaction was to lay men off while I tried to dig up more work. At this time the nerves kicked in on
the price of the machine and we had thoughts of bailing out and selling the machine. Instead I
called my sales rep. Robert Raymond and we both agreed that with the new technology I had to
learn to look outside the box. With help I was able to start subbing out machine time and doing
many other tasks. Before, this was impossible. I also have increased the kitchen production
dramatically without adding staff.
Today, I have no regrets in making the decision to purchase a router from CNC Automation. I
now use my machine to manufacture store fixtures, case goods, plastic components as well as
"high end" kitchens. It permits me to be more flexible and able to continue to operate if one part of
my business slows down. This has allowed me to grow my business to the point where a second
router may need to be purchased in the next 12 to 18 months.
As they say, Talk is cheap but, it takes money to buy whiskey!
With Thermwood and CNC Automation, I have the ability to buy a lot of whiskey and it is not the
cheap stuff!

"We currently have 2 Timesaver sanders and looking at the purchase of another. Both machines have been trouble free since installation with the exception of general maintenance. For our company quality and service is #1 when it comes to the purchase of any machine. CNC Automation's service department has been outstanding and reliable as where we have found most other machinery companies fall behind. I dont think I have had a CNC service tech take longer than 48hrs to respond to a call for regular service and in the case of an emergency there has been same day service. As they stock all parts for these machines at there facility, parts are shipped overnight and feels like we havent skipped a beat. The machines we replaced with the Timesavers were "Brand-X" sanders and we never even took a look at them again once we decided to replace them. We found "Brand-X" doesnt build a strong enough machine for our application and the service side of things was at times almost to much to deal with. If you need to see these machines in action we could arrange a time for you to visit our facility. If you have any further questions you can reach me by email or call me at 519-854-1700. Hope this helps in making your decision an easy one."

"We purchased the Thermwood 2 years ago and have really enjoyed it. The software and the tool
speeds are impressive to say the least but the number one reason in my opinion is the service
that you will receive from CNC Automation. Absolutely, with out a doubt the best in the industry.
One year later we purchased the Lower sander from them and were not disappointed at all.
We here at Bamco produce between 100 125 boxes per day. This process includes all parts of
the box as well as a spattering of mdf doors as well.
When we first started with the Thermwood we used the blind dado system but it would not meet
our production needs. (this system realistically would produce around 80 boxes per day)
We at that time already owned a Koch CNC doweller so we tried using the Thermwood with a
dowel system and it really paid off. Smaller shops with out a doweller or a clamp would not have
had the luxury of making this switch.
Our sales staff uses 20/20 for the customer presentation at the present. When e-cabs software
reaches the point of sales standards that we need I will have them switch. At the machine we
use e-cab for all of our cabinet needs and AutoCAD for our commercial requirements.
Over all we are very pleased with our equipment, we are making plans to purchase our second
Thermwood in the near future. The Lower sander is in our opinion one of the best in its class, as
is a required piece of equipment to achieve certain production goals. Having said that I would
never give up on the Thermwood, it gave us an instant boost in productivity as well on average a
lower cost of sales month in and month out, due to keeping overheads and processed parts to a
minimum since we no longer stock any gables and so forth."
